Common butterfly valve non-metallic materials

Nitrile rubber Nitrile rubber is commonly used as a valve seat material for butterfly valves, and its heat resistance is not so good, so butterfly valves manufactured are generally not used in high temperature environments. However, nitrile rubber has excellent wear resistance and deformation resistance. Ethylene propylene rubber Ethylene-propylene rubber has a temperature range similar to that of nitrile rubber, but is 1-20 degrees higher than nitrile rubber at the upper temperature limit. It is also the material used for the butterfly valve seat. The advantages are good heat insulation, good ozone resistance and no reaction with inorganic media. Therefore, butterfly valves made of ethylene propylene rubber are commonly used to transport water and alcohol pipes. PTFE Teflon has excellent temperature resistance and is very resistant to chemicals commonly referred to as corrosion resistance. However, due to the special requirements of some butterfly valves, the insulation pr...
